Abstract
BACKGROUND: Men's Sheds ("Sheds") offer a unique opportunity to reach a captive audience of "hard-to-reach" men. However, attempts to engage Sheds in structured health promotion programmes must respect the ethos of Sheds as highly variable, autonomous, non-structured spaces.
