Abstract
The use of race and ethnicity in medicine has become a matter of intense debate. Currently the social construct of race and ethnicity is far from precise, serving as a poor proxy for ancestry. In this issue of Cell, Belbin et al. provide an interesting framework for better characterizing population substructure in a diverse urban environment.Year: 2021 PMID: 33861960 DOI: 10.1016/j.cell.2021.03.038
