Abstract
We report a technique that was utilized to manage an intraoperative airway complication occurring during orthognathic surgery wherein the endotracheal tube pilot balloon was inadvertently damaged during the procedure. Readily available operating room materials were used to safely and rapidly repair the damaged endotracheal tube pilot balloon. This allowed the perioperative team to avoid emergent endotracheal tube exchange and potential airway complications.Entities:
