Abstract
The accuracy of two equations used to predict creatinine clearance was assessed in 27 patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and 34 controls. Both equations were accurate in controls, but overestimated the clearance in RA patients. The degree of overestimation was not related to patient characteristics. Uncritical use of these equations in RA patients may lead to serious error.Entities:
