Abstract
Two large prostatic cysts were found in a dog that had a Sertoli cell tumor in an abdominal testis and other signs of hyperestrogenism, including feminization, dermatologic alterations, and slight anemia. After marsupialization of the cysts and removal of the testes, the clinical signs resolved. Evidence of metastasis was not observed after one year. Although tumor-induced hyperestrogenism has been postulated as a cause of prostatic cysts in the dog, clinical reports of such cases are few.Entities:
