Abstract
Seminal fluid parameters of ejaculates collected via masturbation successively after sixty minute interval were compared. Volumes of semen were in most cases significantly lower in the second ejaculations as compared with the first. Sperm density was higher in the second specimen only in 32 patients (31% of the group). The percentage of motile spermatozoa was comparable in both specimens. The velocity was in the second specimens significantly lower. The percentage of morphologically defective forms of spermatozoa was found to be approximately the same in both specimens. The use of successive ejaculation will have hardly any greater clinical importance in the treatment of hypofertile men.Entities:
