Abstract
There was a 3.7-fold increase in ectopic pregnancies over the last 21 years, with the occurrence rate among blacks remaining higher than for white patients. The average age of patients with ectopic pregnancies has not changed. A history of ectopic pregnancy or tubal surgery is now found in 25% of patients with ectopic pregnancies. The traditional etiologic factors have remained about the same.Entities:
