Abstract
Leishmaniasis is a neglected tropical disease caused by species of Leishmania, with a broad spectrum of clinical manifestations, such as cutaneous, visceral, and mucocutaneous presentations. Many drugs are used for its treatment, and a current effective one is a pentavalent antimonial, especially in developing countries. In this review, we discuss recent proposed therapies as well as their side effects. Copyright:Entities:
