Abstract
IMPORTANCE: Driving is one of the most important instrumental activities of daily living. As adults age, many face challenges with maintaining independent driving, leading to risk for decreased occupational engagement and quality of life. Higher SPPB scores indicate better physical function. Total score ranges from 0 to 12 and is the sum of 3 individual scores: Total Balance, Chair Stand, and Gait Speed.
Higher PHQ–4 scores indicate increased depression and anxiety risk. Total score is the sum of scores on the 4 items; scores are rated as normal (0–2), mild (3–5), moderate (6–8), or severe (9–12).
