INTRODUCTION: Neoplasms of the appendix are quite rare and found in approximately 1% of appendectomy specimens. * Of the 12 patients with Mucinous Cystadenoma, seven were followed for >5 years, three were followed for 19, 28, and 48 months, and two were deceased at 42 and 56 months. Of the four patients with Goblet Cell Tumor, three were followed for >5 years and one followed for 14 months.
