Abstract
OBJECTIVES: The primary aim is to provide a summary of evidence for the diagnostic accuracies of multiplex PCR gastrointestinal (GI) panels-BioFire FilmArray and Luminex xTAG on the detection of gastroenteritis pathogens. The secondary aim is to compare the performance of these GI panels head to head.Entities:

Figure 1PRISMA flow diagram for selection of articles for meta-analysis. aThese 23 additional studies were identified from the inclusion studies of a systematic review: multiplex tests to identify gastrointestinal bacteria, viruses and parasites in people with suspected infectious gastroenteritis: a systematic review and economic analysis. The systematic review had the same inclusion and exclusion criteria as our study, and included the articles published before 2015.
