Abstract
During in vitro experiments galbanic acid (a derivative of 7-hydroxycoumarin) at concentrations of 50, 100, 200 micrograms/ml suppressed the development of platelet aggregation induced by ADP, thrombin, histamine, adrenaline, acetylcholine and collagen. Intravenous administration of galbanic acid before bloodletting prevented and against the background of bloodletting eliminated platelet hyperaggregation in dogs.Entities:
