Abstract
We studied the effects of nifedipine, a calcium antagonist, given intravenously and orally, on intraocular pressure in six normal volunteers. Nifedipine had no effect on intraocular pressure. Nifedipine is not contraindicated for the treatment of cardiovascular disease in glaucomatous patients and may have theoretical advantages in this situation, which are discussed.Entities:
