Traumatic anterior dislocation of the hip.

Abstract

A case of traumatic anterior dislocation of the hip is presented. Reduction was easily achieved but was unstable because of disruption of the iliofemoral ligament by detachment of the anterior inferior iliac spine. A stable reduction was achieved by operative reattachment of the anterior inferior iliac spine.
