Abstract
Hydrofluoric acid is used in a variety of industries and poses a considerable medical hazard. The dual mechanism of injury makes hydrofluoric acid burns among the most severe and lethal seen. Prompt treatment with copious irrigation, iced benzethonium or benzalkonium soaks, calcium gluconate gel application and calcium gluconate injections may well prove to be lifesaving.Entities:
