Abstract
Multiplex immunoassays enable the measurement of multiple proteins in a small volume of sample in a single well, enhancing discovery and profiling of multiple biomarkers when compared to singleplex immunoassays. In order to ensure optimal results are generated, it is important to know what critical actions and assay steps can adversely affect results. This chapter covers best practices for sample collection and storage, to important considerations during the assay run, and ways to ensure optimal data generation and efficient data analysis. When these practices are applied, the potential to generate actionable and quality results accelerates the research and discovery process. Keywords: Biomarker; Immunoassay; Multiplex; Protein quantitation
