Abstract
BACKGROUND: The shoulder is a commonly injured area in hockey, yet information is lacking on the prevalence and effect of shoulder instability. Our study investigates the incidence of shoulder dislocation events in the National Hockey League (NHL) and the effects on return-to-play (RTP) and player performance. We hypothesize that NHL players would have high RTP rates without significant changes in performance after injury.Entities:
