Abstract
The determination of brain death in children has increasingly relied on a variety of neurodiagnostic studies to confirm the clinical diagnosis. This second article on brain death reviews the relevant pediatric electroencephalographic, evoked response, and cerebral blood flow studies, provides our recommendations and protocol for the determination of brain death in children, and considers some of the problems associated with physiologic stabilization of the brain dead child who is considered for organ donation.Entities:
