Abstract
BACKGROUND: Increased oxidative stress and inflammation play a critical role in the etiopathogenesis of chronic tendinopathy. Melatonin is an endogenous molecule that exhibits antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. Values are presented as mean ± standard deviation (range). Mann–Whitney U-test was performed for comparison of biochemical parameters between the study groups. The chi-square test was used to compare histopathological parameters between the groups.
