Abstract
BACKGROUND: Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are the most common communicable diseases that affect the health and life of people. Even though there is little information on the prevalence of STIs in Ethiopia, the problem is likely similar to other developing countries. Therefore, the objective of this study was to measure STIs related care-seeking behavior and associated factors among reproductive-age women in Ethiopia.Entities:

Description and measurements of STIs related care seeking behavior
| Variable | Description | Measurements |
|---|---|---|
| Had STI infection | Have you had STI or symptoms of an STI (a bad-smelling, abnormal discharge from the vagina or a genital sore or ulcer) in the 12 months before the survey? | “Yes” = respondents who had STIs or STI symptoms and “no” otherwise |
| STIs related care-seeking behavior (outcome) | If you had the infection, did you seek any kind of advice or treatment? | “Yes” = for respondents who sought treatment or advice and “no” otherwise |
