Abstract
In the UK a university department in conjunction with UK charities and hospitals has formed the basis of a computerized opting in kidney donorship register. The system operates on a VAX 8250, with local hospitals using terminal-emulating micros and PCs. The justification for such a system and its design and implementation are described.Mesh：
