Patient variables in dogs randomly assigned to receive either methadone (0.5 mg/kg) or hydromorphone (0.1 mg/kg) IV with electrocardiogram recordings obtained while awake (groups M and H) or while awake and during sevoflurane anesthesia following 15 min with end-tidal sevoflurane stabilized at 2.4% (groups MS and HS, respectively).
