Abstract
Studies examining physicians' knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions of their clinical competence have revealed that many are, or perceive themselves to be, poorly prepared to address the needs of sexual and gender minority (SGM) patients as well as military veterans. In this article, the authors examine these findings as they pertain to mental health care and identify the areas of cultural and clinical competence necessary for psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide high-quality care for SGM veterans.Entities:
