Abstract
Replacing expensive or toxic transition metals with iron has become an important trend in transition metal catalyzed reactions. As an important part of this trend, the stereoselective construction of olefins under iron catalysis is an appealing and prolific research field. This article summarises the recent progress of a wide range of Fe-catalyzed reactions in accessing various stereodefined alkenes, including carbohalogenation, hydro/carbometalation of alkynes (allenes and dienes), alkylation and arylation of stereodefined (pseudo) haloalkenes or alkenyl metals, chelation-assisted C-H activation and other miscellaneous reactions.Entities:
