Abstract
Meconium aspiration syndrome is a perinatal problem which requires the full cooperation and coordination of obstetrical and pediatric personnel if it is to be avoided. Prompt, efficient delivery room management can minimize the sequelae of aspirated meconium. However, those infants who develop severe meconium aspiration syndrome are best managed in neonatal intensive care units where they can be closely monitored and vigorously treated.Entities:
