Abstract
The correlation between the "in vivo" and "in vitro" inhibitory properties of six nitroguaiacol ether derivatives of streptomycin is studied. The differential activity of the derivatives is more closely related to differences in efficiency in the transport of the drugs than to their capacity to inhibit poly(U) directed polyphenylalanine synthesis. The results obtained are discussed in relation to the characteristics of the different derivatives.Entities:
