Abstract
BACKGROUND: There is no universally accepted protocol of topical wound care after cutaneous surgical procedures. The current practice is to use petrolatum-based products, commonly containing topical antibiotics. The rise in antibiotic-resistant bacteria and increased risk of allergic and contact dermatitis due to the use of topical antibiotics is well established.Entities:
