Abstract
The measures to control the COVID-19 pandemic have far-reaching sequelae for the German healthcare system and our citizens. Since the implementation of the pandemic measures with a nationwide lockdown on 22 March 2020, so far some relevant aspects have already been described. This overview article gives a more detailed description of some aspects relevant for vascular medicine, e.g. emergency treatment, increase of the cardiovascular risk due to social distancing and the risk of venous thromboembolisms. © Springer Medizin Verlag GmbH, ein Teil von Springer Nature 2020.Entities:
