Abstract
INTRODUCTION: We analysed the neurological complications of patients with severe SARS-CoV-2 infection who required intensive care unit (ICU) admission. PATIENTS AND METHODS: We conducted a retrospective, observational, descriptive study of consecutive patients admitted to the ICU due to severe respiratory symptoms secondary to SARS-CoV-2 infection between 1 April and 1 June 2020.Entities:

Figure 1Some vascular lesions detected in our series. A) Patient 8: 2 small left parietal cortico-subcortical haematomas in the convexity. B) Patient 1: acute haematoma in the right caudate nucleus, with opening to the ventricular system. C) Patient 26: hyperintense subacute ischaemic lesions in both parietal lobes, in the border zone of the middle cerebral and anterior cerebral artery territories.
Figure 2Myopathy (patient 17). A) Atrophy of the gastrocnemius and tibialis anterior muscles. B) Electroneuromyography study: normal motor conduction velocity and motor potential amplitude in the right posterior tibial nerve. C) Needle electromyography of the right lateral head of the gastrocnemius muscle showing low amplitude and short duration of motor unit action potentials.
