Selection Criteria.

| 1. Patients having cervical radiculopathy or myelopathy | 1. Patients with fusion involving ≥3 segments |
| 2. Patients in the age group 18-65 years | 2. Revision surgery |
| 3. Any operations for trauma | |
| 4. Infection | |
| 5. Trauma | |
| 6. Inflammatory disorders such as RA | |
| 7. Patient given IV steroids during surgery, or taken oral steroids 7 days prior to surgery, or on chronic steroids | |
| 8. ACDF without anterior cervical plating |
