Asphyxial deaths as a result of aspiration of dental appliances: a report of three cases.

Abstract

Three cases of asphyxial deaths as a result of aspiration of dental appliances are presented. The possible association of this condition with resuscitative effort and patient debilitation is discussed. A recommendation to improve diagnosis and facilitate resuscitation is offered.
