BACKGROUND: Despite the great benefits of breastfeeding for the mother and the child, many mothers face a lot of challenges and issues during lactation, which might lead to early weaning. The study revealed that 29% of respondents weaned/stopped breastfeeding. The main reasons stated by the mothers were the following: low milk supply (31.1%) followed by pain, congestion, and abscess (23.1%) and pregnancy (21%)
