Abstract
Hemoptysis in a teenage girl caused by a foreign body located in the posterior segment of the left lower lobe is described. The patient was seen four years after the initial inhalation. The importance of taking a meticulous history and the use of computed tomography in the localization of the lesion are emphasized, and the use of the fiberoptic bronchoscope in peripheral lesions and in the investigation of hemoptysis is discussed.Entities:
