Abstract
In the flaccid state, the smooth muscles of the cavernous arterioles and trabeculae are contracted, and minimal blood flow enters the sinusoids. Relaxation of these smooth muscles incites arterial dilation, venous compression, and sinusoidal relaxation and results in penile erection.Mesh:
