Abstract
Infection with Candida albicans of a total knee arthroplasty developed in an immunosuppressed 52-year-old woman with rheumatoid arthritis who initially presented with clear drainage from the incision, which cultured negative initially. Successful treatment consisted initially of debridement and a course of intravenous antibiotics, followed by staged arthrodesis with an intramedullary rod.Entities:
