Solitary nevus lipomatosus superficialis on the forehead.

Abstract

Solitary nevus lipomatosus superficialis is a rare nevoid anomaly characterized by ectopic adipose tissue in the dermis without predirection. The case of a 14-year-old boy with a hemispherical solitary nevus lipomatosus superficialis on his median forehead is presented. The items that need special consideration during diagnosis and treatment of this tumor are described.
