Abstract
BACKGROUND: There is growing evidence that aquatic physiotherapy may be effective for people with Parkinson's Disease (PD) but most studies have investigated land based type exercises in the aquatic environment. Few studies have examined customised aquatic therapies such as the Halliwick concept which focuses on trunk rotation and core stabilisation.Entities:

Fig 2Box plots of outcome measures pre and post intervention for (A) disease severity as measured by the UPDRS-III; (B) balance as measured by the Berg Balance Scale; (C) balance as measured with the Mini BESTest; and (D) fear of falling (mFES). Significant differences between groups are indicated with a star. A box is drawn from the first quartile to the third quartile, with a line passing through the box at the median.
