Abstract
Despite the introduction of low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) and implementation of lung cancer screening programs, lung cancer still maintains the leading cause of cancer-specific death all around the world in terms of morbidity and mortality. Many studies demonstrated that the methylation status of selected genes may act as prognostic biomarkers for lung cancer patients. Recently, the development of high-throughput sequencing for methylation would help researchers better understand the role of methylation in the tumorigenicity or metastasis of lung cancer. This chapter reviews the progress of DNA methylation in lung cancer.Entities:
