Abstract
Endoscopic variceal sclerotherapy (EVS) is an accepted alternative to surgery in many patients with bleeding esophageal varices. Esophageal ulceration is a common sequelae of EVS with chest pain, stricture, and perforation occurring less frequently. We present a patient with Laennec's cirrhosis and coagulopathy who developed an obstructing esophageal hematoma caused by submucosal dissection after two EVS treatments.Entities:
