Abstract

Benign (BPNSTs) and malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors (MPNSTs) can occur either sporadically or related to neurofibromatosis (NF) syndromes (1). While sporadic neurofibromas are benign, some neurofibromas related to neurofibromatosis can transform to MPNSTs. It suggests that the biological behaviour of both neurofibromas may change due to different genetic mutations. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
