Abstract
A case of disseminated pneumocystosis occurring in a patient with the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome is described. Postmortem examination of this patient, who had three episodes of Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia during his 3-year clinical course, revealed clinically unsuspected infiltration of lymph nodes, spleen, adrenal glands, and bone marrow, in addition to persistent pulmonary infection by the organism.Entities:
