Abstract
Chronic nonunion of sternal fractures is typically treated by osteosynthesis plating with or without autologous bone grafting. Described here is a case of the successful use of teriparatide, a bone-forming drug currently used for the treatment of severe osteoporosis, in the healing of a sternal nonunion fracture occurring after blunt thoracic trauma.Entities:
