Abstract
The effect of repeated injection of pentylenetetrazol on pentylenetetrazol seizure thresholds was determined in mice and rats. Once per week treatment of rats with pentylenetetrazol resulted in the development of a state of kindling. On the other hand, when pentylenetetrazol was administered twice per week, a phenomenon resembling tolerance was observed. In mice, it was not possible to demonstrate kindling under experimental conditions utilizing either one or two treatments with PTZ per week.Entities:
