Abstract
Atrial fibrillation is a common arrhythmia which may cause symptoms that significantly impact quality of life and is associated with increased risk of stroke, heart failure, and sudden death. Over the past three decades many surgical techniques as well as catheter-bases procedures have been developed to treat atrial fibrillation. In this review we describe the indications, treatments, outcomes, surgical techniques, and technical advances reported in the literature. © Thieme Medical Publishers.Entities:
