OBJECTIVES: The CURB-65 is a severity score to predict mortality secondary to community acquired pneumonia and is widely used to identify patients who can be managed as outpatients. Results are expressed as count (%) for categorical variables and as mean (standard deviation) for quantitative variables. *SGOT and SPOT were available for 244 (87.5%), us troponin I levels for 157 (56.3%) patients, and ferritin for 112 (29.6%) patients.
