Abstract
The incidence of many types of cancer continues to increase, and despite many successes in the realms of screening, prevention, and treatment, cancer remains the second leading cause of death in North America. Cancer types affecting this population have varied over time, with a trend toward more malignancies caused by modifiable risk factors related to a western lifestyle. Despite the increasing incidence of cancer, a combination of population-based screening and improved therapeutics has made the disease more survivable, and created an ever-increasing community of cancer survivors. These cancer survivors face unique challenges and require ongoing care.Entities:
