Postponing the IV International Symposium on Fungal Stress (ISFUS) and the XIII International Fungal Biology Conference (IFBC) due to COVID-19.

This special issue is dedicated to the III International Symposium on Fungal Stress (ISFUS). The first (Alder-Rangel et al., 2020) and last (Rangel and Alder-Rangel, 2020) articles of this special edition of Fungal Biology announced that the IV ISFUS and the XIII International Fungal Biology Conference (IFBC) joint meeting would be held June 7–10, 2021 in São José dos Campos, SP, Brazil https://isfus2021.wordpress.com/. However, world events have changed these plans. These articles were accepted before COVID-19 was declared a global pandemic on March 11, 2020 by the World Health Organization (WHO) (Cucinotta and Vanelli, 2020).

Consequently, due to the pandemic and the closure of many countries’ borders, the organizing committee of the IV International Symposium on Fungal Stress (ISFUS) as well as the steering committee of the XIII International Fungal Biology Conference (IFBC) have decided to postpone this meeting. The dates are still being discussed by both committees and as soon as the dates are set they will be posted on the website https://isfus2021.wordpress.com/.
