Abstract
A near-complete genome sequence was obtained for a novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) strain obtained from an oropharyngeal swab from a Peruvian patient with coronavirus syndrome (COVID-19) who had contact with an individual who had returned to Peru from travel to Italy.Entities:

FIG 1Phylogenetic analysis of genome sequences reported for SARS-CoV-2 strains belonging to the G, S, or V clade, obtained from the GISAID database (https://www.gisaid.org). Phylogeny of the genomes was inferred using the neighbor-joining algorithm with 1,000 bootstrap replicates in MEGA X v 10.0.5. The arrow indicates the location of the genome sequence reported here. The scale at the bottom indicates evolutionary distance, in substitutions per nucleotide.
