Abstract
Fourteen patients with symptoms of acute unilateral optic neuritis were examined with the Pulfrich test and the Aulhorn flicker test. It was found that the positive Pulfrich response and the depth of the apparent orbit depends on the ocular or neural diseases causing a difference in neural conduction from the two eyes. The Pulfrich test is positive for considerably longer than the flicker test. It may be concluded from this that the Pulfrich test is more sensitive to minor residual dysfunction of the affected optic nerve.Entities:
