Abstract
We introduce a simple and effective method for root repair reconstruction in acute type A aortic dissection (aTAAD) to reduce the hemorrhage risk and late root new intimal tear and dilation. 'Double jacket wrapping' contains two steps: the first jacket is used for root 'sandwich' repair with a patch between the outer and inner layers; the second jacket is wrapped outside the reconstructed root at the level of the supra-coronary ostium. Compared to root replacement, this method may avoid prosthetic valve-related complications and decrease the complexity of valve sparing root replacement, which is a method worthy of wide use.Entities:
